Before Your Time …

A Letter To My Unborn...

Before your time, I will prepare a safe place

A place of gratitude and happiness … by his grace 

A place where the Lord is your shield and you can earnestly seek his face.

 

Before your time, I will become the best mother I can be …

Emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually

A stable home where you will not endure the pain nor tears I had to see.

A place that you as my offspring can admire and desire

Your only task in life will be to do as I do or to go higher.

 

I have made some good and bad decisions in the past

I hope one day you understand you came first and not last

To prepare you,  a future of opportunities and luxury.

Where I pray you will not be judged by the colour of your skin

Where we can all ONE day live equally in harmony,

Not dead before 21 or thrown in the can or the bin.

 

Before your time, I aim to remove financial worries or stress 

I will  give you a better chance in life, the best and not less. 

You will not be stereotyped based on your address 

OR fear the killing last week, that you might be next.

 

Before your time, for the better I will make a change

I will learn to truly love, to some this may sound strange.

I mean, Unconditional, Agape love where  I will love you as my own

Protect and nature you from birth till you are grown.

 

Innocent soul, here is self love

You are made in the image of the man above

I Embrace what you call a flaw

Our love will be ‘the better straw’.

To be raised in a place of love, I must confess 

Will be the ground of your success.

 

Our love will be forever

Through sun, rain, storm or whatever

Send my love to my others before your arrival

I prepare a safe place because my love for you is no denial.

 

Note:

Children are a blessing and through them you can practice change. Make the rights to the wrongs that were made in your life. No matter how young or old, it is important that parents are willing to create a safe place mentally and emotionally for their children. It is not fair bringing an innocent child into and unfortunate situation so seek support and aim to be the best mother or father you can be in order to assist your offspring.
