2018 – My Year of Breakthrough.
“Breakthrough” is defined as an important discovery or event that helps to improve a situation or provide an answer to a problem (CambridgeDictionary, 2018).
“Live Your Movie” is the breakthrough. It is a MOVEMENT that will be used to bring attention to God, issues in our culture, community & generation i.e (black) mental health, deprivation , absent fathers and MUCH more. Encouraging unity & love. Celebrating black excellence.
It will also portray a story of “The Journey”. A spiritual journey , Follow me on this journey dedicated to real life events with real heart felt emotions, some parts have been removed due to confidentiality although ALL has been written according to Gods plan.
The title “Live your movie” – simply because it is your life, you make decisions that will create the scenes you want in your movie.
Let’s talk Mental health which is a taboo in the black community. I believe this is due to individuals not truly understanding what it is as we have been taught to be strong and fight through hardship. It is associated with being weak, in some African cultures there is a stigma of it being a form of “madness”.
I started to realise everyone was and is going through things. Everyone has a story, some very painful ones too. Everyone forgets or does not even know the mental or emotional effect of their story due to the stigma that comes with “mental health”.
This MOVEMENT will incorporate the celebration of all success and embrace black successful individuals encouraging the Black Excellence movement. We intend to use their stories, input or insight of their journey to path a way for the younger generation. One day building bigger platforms they can use whilst figuring out their movie.
Use all content as a source of encouragement tied in with scriptures of the bible and references from written evidence such as articles.
“A picture is worth a thousand words” – some may say the image above is just a man walking towards a rainbow. Although, this image speaks out loud to me, as the death of the man in the picture was the inspiration that birthed Live Your Movie. It is a picture of a special friend, named Samuel Kale. Who inspired this blog and the name “Live Your Movie”.
As he walks on a straight bright path of greatness, towards a rainbow which signifies hope. It depicts the meaning and message of this blog which is to encourage people to walk into the path of greatness in order to create a voice that will be heard & hope/trust God’s Plan.
So, play the card rights in your OWN movie because unfortunately you only get ONE shot in this.
